I used to do it for all my videos, but now I only do it for special ones
I just switched to Linux recently, so I’ll have to learn how to do it again, but when I do I can always VCRify footage for you if you want

Also, wouldn't you need to have the video copied to a tape, and then run it through the VCR to a computer with a shit ton of adapters?

No, I just HDMI convert to AC then record on the VCR, then AC to HDMI back
